If your FACEIT Overlay is not working as expected, the following steps will help you resolve the most common issues. FACEITSync updates overlay data automatically using real-time FACEIT events.
How Overlay Updates Work
FACEITSync uses FACEIT Webhooks to receive real-time notifications when a match starts, ends, or is canceled. This allows the overlay to update instantly without manual interaction.
During an active match, stats are refreshed automatically at regular intervals and synchronized directly with FACEIT.
Overlay Is Blank
- Make sure you are logged into FACEITSync
- Verify that Steam or FACEIT is connected in Settings
- Check that your Overlay URL is correct and complete
- Refresh the browser source in OBS
Stats Are Not Updating
- Stats update automatically during active FACEIT matches
- Ensure you are currently in an active FACEIT match
- FACEITSync receives match state changes via FACEIT webhooks
- Check your internet connection
- Right-click the browser source in OBS and select Refresh
Overlay Looks Broken or Incomplete
- Clear the OBS browser cache: Right-click source → Properties → Refresh cache
- Remove and re-add the browser source
- Verify the overlay dimensions match the recommended size
- Ensure no custom CSS is applied
Overlay Background Is Not Transparent
For transparency to work correctly:
- Leave the Custom CSS field empty in OBS
- Disable Hardware Acceleration in the browser source properties
Wrong Stats Are Displayed
- Check that the correct FACEIT account is linked in your settings
- If you have multiple FACEIT accounts, ensure the intended one is connected
- Disconnect and reconnect FACEIT to refresh the account mapping
Match Not Detected
- Ensure your Steam or FACEIT account is correctly linked
- Only official FACEIT matches are supported
- FACEITSync relies on FACEIT match events and webhooks
- Some matches may take a short moment to appear after lobby creation
