If Twitch Predictions are not working as expected, the following steps will help you identify and fix the most common issues. FACEITSync handles predictions automatically, but certain Twitch and FACEIT requirements must be met.
Predictions Are Not Created
Check Twitch Eligibility
Twitch Predictions are only available for eligible channels:
- You must be a Twitch Affiliate or Partner
- Channel Points must be enabled
- Predictions must be enabled in the Twitch Creator Dashboard
Predictions Blocked by Twitch AutoMod
Twitch applies automatic content and word filters to prediction titles and options. If a prediction contains blocked words, emojis, or phrases, Twitch may silently reject the prediction.
- Prediction title or outcome text may contain filtered words
- Special characters or excessive emojis can trigger AutoMod
- Offensive, gambling-related, or ambiguous phrases may be blocked
In this case, the prediction will not be created, even though all technical requirements are met.
How to Fix
- Use short, neutral prediction titles
- Avoid slang, insults, or suggestive wording
- Reduce emojis if predictions fail to start
- Test with a simple title like: "Will {username} win this match?"
Check FACEITSync Configuration
- Automatic Predictions are enabled in Dashboard → Predictions
- Your FACEIT or Steam account is connected
- Your Twitch authorization is valid
- Try refreshing your Twitch token in Settings → Account
Predictions Are Not Resolving
Prediction resolution depends on FACEIT match events.
- Allow up to 60 seconds after the match ends
- FACEITSync resolves predictions after match completion is confirmed
- Cancelled or abandoned matches may not resolve automatically
In rare cases, FACEIT may delay or withhold match results, which can postpone resolution.
Predictions Lock Too Early or Too Late
- Predictions lock when the FACEIT match officially starts
- This is detected via FACEIT match state updates
- Short delays are normal and depend on FACEIT timing
- You can adjust the voting duration in the prediction settings
Channel Points Are Not Available
If Channel Points or Predictions are missing on Twitch:
- Open the Twitch Creator Dashboard
- Go to Viewer Rewards → Channel Points
- Enable Channel Points
- Enable Predictions
Re-authorize Twitch
If predictions suddenly stop working after previously functioning correctly:
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Account
- Click "Refresh Twitch Token"
- Re-authorize FACEITSync if prompted

If none of the steps above resolve the issue, open a support ticket via Dashboard → My Tickets and include:
- Your Twitch channel name
- The time of the affected match
- A short description of the issue
