Streamsniper Check

The Streamsniper Check detects potential stream snipers by comparing your current FACEIT match lobby with your Twitch viewer list and announcing suspicious overlaps in chat.

The Streamsniper Check helps you identify potential stream snipers by comparing your active FACEIT match lobby with your current Twitch viewers. If a match participant is detected in your chat, the FACEITSync bot can announce it automatically.

How the Streamsniper Check Works

  1. A FACEIT match starts and the lobby is detected
  2. FACEITSync reads the player list of the current match
  3. The bot compares FACEIT player names with your Twitch viewer list
  4. If a match is found, a warning is posted in chat

The check can run automatically or be triggered manually by moderators.

Automatic Background Checks

The Streamsniper Check runs automatically in the background. FACEITSync checks the Twitch viewer list at regular intervals without requiring any manual interaction.

  • The viewer list is checked approximately every 2 minutes
  • Detected overlaps are announced automatically in chat
  • The !fscheck command is usually not required
  • Manual checks are only useful for immediate verification

In normal operation, moderators and streamers do not need to trigger checks manually. The system monitors the situation continuously during the match.

Detection Logic

  • FACEIT lobby of the active match
  • Current Twitch viewer list
  • Name matching between FACEIT players and chat viewers
  • Optional filtering (e.g. enemy team only)

For security reasons, the exact matching logic is intentionally not fully disclosed.

Automatic Announcements & Cooldowns

To avoid spam and false alerts, the Streamsniper Check follows strict rules:

  • Minimum watch time before an announcement is triggered
  • Announcements are rate-limited with cooldowns

Manual Checks

Moderators and the streamer can manually trigger a check using a chat command (e.g. !fscheck).

  • Available only to streamer, moderators, or admins
  • Respects the same cooldown and safety limits

Bot Permissions

The FACEITSync bot requires moderator permissions in your channel to function correctly.

  • Required to access the Twitch viewer list
  • Required to post announcements in chat

Important Notice

⚠️ The Streamsniper Check provides indicators only.

  • Not every detected viewer is actively stream sniping
  • Similar names or coincidences may occur
  • No automatic punishment is applied
  • Confirmed cases must be reported via FACEIT’s official system

How to Enable

  1. Open Dashboard → Premium → Streamsniper Check
  2. Enable the feature
  3. Configure minimum watch time, cooldowns, and scan scope
  4. Save your settings
